The real estate market is tough for buyers right now, but some locations are still seeing demand soar in the face of the lingering coronavirus pandemic.
WalletHub, a personal finance website, released a report detailing exactly where the best location to be a real estate agent is in 2021.
To determine the results, WalletHub says it compared more than 170 U.S. cities across two key dimensions: “job opportunity and competition” and “real-estate market health.” Those two dimensions were then evaluated using 22 relevant metrics including sales per agent, median home price, real-estate employment growth and more. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, Walelthub says.
Two Massachusetts cities snagged spots in the top 100 locations included in the list with Boston ranking 19 and Worcester 89.
Boston tied fifth for a ranking of locations with the “highest annual median wage for real-estate agents.”
Worcester, on the other hand, received a low ranking in regards to “lowest housing-market health index,” coming in at 172.
