COVID-19 vaccine
A recombinant protein COVID-19 vaccine developed in China that requires administration in three injections is now available in Beijing.
China issued an emergency use authorization for the vaccine on March 10, and since then people in many provinces, including Anna’s Anhu and Hubei provinces, have been vaccinated. According to the institute, the first batch of vaccines shipped from the Beijing production line on May 3.
“Chinese artificial sun”
Chinese scientists set a new world record of achieving a plasma temperature of 120 million degrees Celsius for 101 seconds in Friday’s latest experiment, an important step towards a fusion reactor test run.
This year’s experimental high-level superconducting tokamak (EAST), or “Chinese artificial sun,” also achieved a plasma temperature of 160 million degrees Celsius that lasted for 20 seconds.
Apples China Data Center
Apple has officially launched China’s first data center in southwestern Guizhou this week, local officials said Thursday.
According to the new district’s steering committee, a data center jointly built by Apple and Guizhou Province-Cloud Big Data Industry Co., Ltd. went into operation on Tuesday in the new district of Guizhou.
